Un incendio de gran magnitud tiene lugar en el centro de Londres (Reino Unido) en un hotel cercano a Hyde Park. Cerca de 120 personas y veinte camiones de bomberos intentan socavar las llamas en la zona de Knightsbridge, según comunica la Brigada de Bomberos de Londres.
Las autoridades de tránsito informan que las calles aledañas han sido cerradas mientras los servicios de emergencias intentan controlar el incendio.

El fuego se desató en un edificio de doce plantas que corresponde a un hotel de cinco estrellas llamado Mandarin Oriental. Según trascendió, recientemente fueron invertidos cerca de 250 millones de dólares en remodelar el sitio.
Las autoridades no han determinado aún las causas del siniestro.
